Warm oil treatments chosen for you, light organic vegetarian food cooked fresh each day, and a room in a national park.
A short residential stay of one, three or five days. You get a room on the MERU campus, three organic vegetarian meals a day, a main warm oil treatment each morning, and often a supporting treatment in the afternoon. The rest of the day is yours.
It is wellness rather than cleansing. Warm oil, food that is easy on the body, and enough quiet to rest properly. The cleansing treatments belong to Panchakarma, and this is a gentler offering.
People who want to understand their constitution before committing to anything longer
People whose work will not release them for a week
People who have done Panchakarma before and come back briefly between programmes
Panchakarma is a cleansing process in three stages. It needs preparation before it and a re-building phase after it, and the cleansing treatments have to be given in a sequence that should not be compressed.
An Ayurvedic Experience is built for something else. What you receive is warm oil treatments, herbal steam, light food and rest.
Two options guests most often weigh against each other: Renew, the deeper wellness stay, and Foundation, the first real cleanse.
Three lengths, each with a published price and a real example of what the days hold. Your treatments are agreed with us before you arrive, and can be added to or changed at our per-treatment rates.
Every figure is the sum of the treatments at our published rates, plus your room and your meals. Change the treatments and the figure changes with them.

It is strongly recommended, and it is your choice.
With a consultation, your treatments are chosen from what your pulse shows rather than from a list, and you leave with a plan for afterwards: food, daily routine and herbal preparations chosen for you.
Without one, you may choose your own. A main treatment each day, such as Abhyanga or Vishesh, and a supporting treatment, such as Shirodhara or one of the Vasti treatments.
For the deeper therapies we ask you to check with us first, and a Vaidya will confirm the choice.
Three organic vegetarian meals a day, cooked fresh. You can take them in either of two dining rooms.
The community dining hall, €35 a day, is where the staff and community members eat, along with the course participants and everyone else who has come to MERU.
The Satvik dining hall, €50 a day, is small and quiet, in the building where guests stay. It serves the lighter food prepared for guests on a programme.
A Panchakarma guest is guided towards the lighter meals, because the food is part of the treatment. With an Ayurvedic Experience the choice is yours.
The kitchen uses no fish, meat or eggs. It does cook with milk, gluten and some nuts and nut oils, so please tell us about any allergies before you come.
Online. We will call you beforehand to agree your treatments and to hear what you are hoping for.
If you would rather talk first, a discovery call takes twenty minutes and is free of charge. And if you would like your treatments chosen from a pulse reading rather than from a list, add an Ayurvedic Consultation when you book.

A short residential stay of one, three or five days at the Maharishi AyurVeda Health Centre, MERU, built around warm oil treatments, organic vegetarian food cooked on site, and rest. It is a complete programme in its own right rather than a shortened Panchakarma.
Panchakarma is a cleansing process in three stages with a purgation stage at its centre, and the shortest programme runs to seven treatment days. An Ayurvedic Experience has no purgation and none of the deeper cleansing treatments. It offers warm oil treatments, herbal steam, food and rest over one, three or five days.
One, three or five days, each with the same number of nights. Guests who want the full cleansing process rather than an introduction are directed to Panchakarma, which begins at seven treatment days.
It is strongly recommended but not required. With a Vaidya consultation the treatments are chosen from a pulse reading and the guest leaves with a regimen. Without one, the guest chooses a main treatment and a supporting treatment for each day from a set list; the deeper therapies are either set by a Vaidya or arranged after a conversation with the Health Centre.
Therapists trained in the Maharishi AyurVeda protocols, who give the main treatments in pairs. Behind them, and available to you, are our Vaidyas — each holding a BAMS, Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery, and a postgraduate degree in Ayurveda, MD (Ayurveda), taken in India.
